Instep Auditions

This year we will be holding our Company auditions on Thursday September 19th  If you are interested in attending this, it is important you look at the following details: 
 
audition: for Year 6 / 7 / 8 / 9        4.30pm to 5.15 pm     
audition: for Year 10 / 11 / 12 /13 5.15pm pm to 6pm 

 
The audition fee will be £5 and payable on the night. Students will be taught a phrase which is applicable to the level, age range of the 4 Companies. We will then set a Solo choreography task. 

Company members 

We will be holding our Company auditions on Wednesday 18th September. All students should start off by attending the audition for their CURRENT COMPANY CLASS. We will then advise whether they should stay to try the audition for the next class. So, to be clear students don’t select which company they want to audition for, they attend the audition for the company they danced with in the show and we will take it from there! 
  

We will follow a similar plan to last year’s auditions:

- We will then set a Solo choreography task.  
 
Provisional times are below - these will be confirmed when we return in September  
Company 4 4.30 to 5.15pm 
Company 3 5.15 to 6pm  
Company 2 6 to 6.45pm  
Company 1 6.45 to 7.30pm   

It is important to remember that Company is about attitude and commitment in the weekly class, attendance at residency weekends and in the additional rehearsals running up to a show – all of which is set down in the Company contracts. 

We want to be absolutely clear that we will offer everyone a place in an appropriate class. We don’t believe in auditions which reject young people and exclude them. We will approach this process in an inclusive mindset which is all about finding the right class for the right student
